BELATED HAPPY RECAP

This is our WEEKENED IN A NUTSHELL a.k.a. WEEKEND RECAP (delayed version). All apologies for the strapped timing being that it is almost the weekend after the last weekend but here I go anyways. There is no better feeling than your family visiting for a long weekend. Even more so if they trekked 3k miles (from Florida) to get to your house, so thank you kuya Boyet, ate Mely, Kimberly and all my fam that came to visit. I didn't mean to keep ya'll waiting on who our new blogger is but "I got caught up" is the unadulterated reason for it. Without further ado, I present to you the freshest fish in our pond, RJ a.k.a. "RED". You will get a chance to get into his persona soon, but for now, the photo below will have to suffice.

Also, thank you to Hella Tight for giving Bottom Shelf a shoutout on their twitter.

AAAND congratulations to the Future Funk for the very obvious reason which I'm not at liberty to even slightly mention. Let's just say they're gonna' be in Hollywood for several weeks, all right? Support the FUTURE!!!!

Lastly, our website has a slightly new face so please check it out and tell your friends. Add us on twitter and facebook by clicking on the F or T icon on the bottom left of the home page. Or you can click HERE for facebook or HERE for Twitter. Salamat po and Come Follow!

EVERY

Staying on that Kooley High tip Rapsody spits raw on "every" produced by 9th wonder. Rapsody is one of the few female emcees that can actually rip the mic. Had a wonderful chance to catch her live and she definitely holds her own in an industry where a female emcee is very easily stereotyped. Video was shot by Kenneth Price who is a genius behind the lens. The whole vibe and tone of the shoot was perfect shouts out to the Kooley High fam, K Price and the whole 9th wonder camp for a job well done.

WEBSITE RECONSTRUCTION

Our website is going through a small face lift that will get us back on the right direction. Certain things rudimentary to any t-shirt company we will install. So if you've wondered what Bottom Shelf really is when you first visited our website and had to do more clicking to unmask the mystery, you will no longer be required to click come tomorrow. The new flash photos will yell "WE SELL DOPE SHIRTS" rather than squawk "WE HAVE DOPE PHOTOS". The special delivery will be tomorrow night so mark your calendars and Come Follow.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

The most imperative 80's band that contoured the music we listen to today would have to be (in my own biased humble opinion) The Smiths. Though 7 years (1980-1987) seemed such a brief time for a band (in retrospect, that's actually pretty long for a band) they have earmarked their music permanently into whatever the present state is. I don't know too much about other people but i listen to them plenty, and its 2010. As I digress to the real essence of this post, we made a video homage/cover of one of my treasured The Smiths song called "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want". The video was filmed in Pampanga, Philippines in such a random direction. There were no master plans and things were not sketched out before filming, nothing but the independent spirit and a 5d/7d combination. Credit goes to Jamie Montalban (vocals), J.M. Edquilang (guitar), and of course The Smiths. AAAAAND it doesn't hurt to suit them up with Bottom Shelf shirts either, nothing but a despicable product placement. In essence, buy our shirts please. Come follow.
