To really know what a company is about you will need to know the influences and where they came from. So in this series we will discuss several artist that we feel have shaped who Bottom Shelf has come to be (in no particular order).
Let's start it off with with this duo from Georgia, OUTKAST. What can I say about these guys. This is basically creativity at it's pinnacle. Their thirst to be original yet respected is something we apply everyday to our business. Andre 3000 personally is one of my favorite rappers of all time. Just the way he uses words to form his ideas in a way that no rapper at the time could ever do just amazed me. Big boi is no slacker himself, his raw ability to just rap with no gimmicks basically set him apart from the pack. Together this pair took the world by storm and the very first time I heard Southernplayalistic it completely blew my mind. Then ATLiens dropped and Aquemini a few years later showed the world that hip-hop not only lives on the east and west coast but in the south as well. After Stankonia dropped it catapulted them pass the "rapper" label into one of the best artists/performers to ever surface. Ask any rapper/artist these days and you can be sure that these boys had something to do with their career.
